Another update for the front page :-)

Last Monday after too many hours of torture from that dragons voice she went down... with just over 2 minutes to spare on the beserk timers. Big thanks to everyone including drill master Bankingerror. Who ironically didn't make the kill after keeping us wiping .. i mean learning and refining the encounter for all of the previous week ;-)




Just the Lich King awaits us now. After Sindragosa went down (on a last possible try of the night as is traditional). A few of us went up to Arthas to say "Oh hai!". The frozen throne was ninja'd by Saphire and lets just say Arthas was not pleased. After ressurecting Saphire we vowed to kill him.

Hi Folks !

Here's an update on our 25 man war against the denziens of Ice Crown Citadel. Following on from our nine other boss kills we decided to raise the stakes and turn our attention to the Leader of the San'layn, Lana'thel herself.

We spent a week and a bite.. i mean bit.. of carefull planning/wiping. The learning of the encounter was a real pain in the neck and for a long time we just sucked.

Last Monday after a steady progression we could almost taste success. Our 32nd try against the Blood-Queen was successful ! In true inquisition tradition it was the last attempt of the night. We stuck our necks out and it all went fangtastically well :-)



Great work all ! now we move onto our necks victim. Sindragosa !!

Been quiet here for a while as we where battering our heads up against Mr Putricide.. And On Monday night we stopped wiping and finally took the lovely professor down.



This was the first real block we've encounterd in WotLK, So i'd like to thank everyone for their persistance through the ack hmm many wipes ;-)

After downing the Prof we had 40 minutes left on our raid slot so we went to have another crack off Valithria Dreamwalker. In the past we've been on numerous <5 % wipes. But yet again the Monday team swept that aside on the Last try of the night. So i'm also pleased to announce that the Dreamwalker is Alive and well and promised to not get captured again ....





So with the Blood princess dead from a few weeks ago that just leaves the Blood Queen, Sindragosa and Arthas himself ;-)

Watch this space .. but not too long as we want you to raid aswell.

I Hope everyone had a relaxing and fun Winterveil, and that greatfather winter at least gave you a piece of coal ;-)

The raiding landscape of Emeris has shifted again with the departure of <Grind Inc>. /salute . Some of them departed the realm or retired their gaming boots. To those who joined us welcome and let us continue to keep raiding alive "For the Alliance !".

The Plagueworks

So after a few weeks of relaxing we started our 2010 raids schedule on Wednesday. It was a full house with almost 40 folks poking their heads into the raid muster. Despite the temptation to go AQ40 we split into a 25 and a 10 man team and went to look at the new bosses. fun fun fun . Even the new trash is interesting with Princess and Stinky forcing the raid to wake up during trash...

We poked and prodded at the bosses and formulated a plan for what ws needed. Roll on thursday... Sorted the raid and went into the plagueworks.... Getting the slimes to behave took a few wipes. But each wipe took us closer to killing the boss so we kept at it and Rotface went down !!!



Then onto festergut.. Now we had read that you needed 7.5k dps from each member to burn this bad kiddie down. Unsure that the raid could push out that much pain, we went in with the aim to prefect our techinque and get some decent logs to figure out how close we were. What we noticed was if things went well we were bloody close... wipe after wipe we got closer until .. In true Inq style on the declaring last try of the night everythign went perfectly and Festergut went down with 13 seconds still left on his enrage timer.



All in all a Fantastic nights raiding .. Topped off with Dragoncaller getting himself on the Shadowmourne Quest line. Thanks to generous donation from guildies. (donations are still being taken until Jan 13th, to try and get a 2nd person on it)

Icecrown Citadel patch 3.3



So finally the patch arrives ... I won the Inquisition officer sweepstake for the predicted date but sadly the prize was to 'normalise' our DKP pool. Hmmm

Yay its here .. The looking for group tool has everyone and their alts loving the game .. and the new dungeons are both challenging and entertaining.

Importantly for us there is new Raid content in the form of Ice Crown Citadel.

As it stands in the first week... We have managed to push 4 teams through the 10 man content and 1 team through the 25 man content. and i'm not mentioning the non icerown content we've done ! Thats a lot of raids All teams clearing the available content!! Really happy with that ...

Defeat the first four bosses in Icecrown Citadel in 25-player mode.
Criteria
- Lord Marrowgar slain
- Claim victory in the Gunship Battle
- Lady Deathwhisper slain
- The Deathbringer
Achievement was the Realm's 6th and an Alliance 1st. (GuildOx)

So we're looking forward to farming this content and eagerly awaiting the release of the next bosses! After Xmas of course ho ho ho

Recent Inquisition News :-)

So what have we been up to ? I won't talk about 3.3 until the next post !

We've continued pushing our way into Trial of the Grand Crusader and have had the Faction champions begging for mercy.!

In addition we finally managed to train our dancer.. i mean raiders to perform and nimbly hopped blinks sidestepped and ran away from their own shadows, so to speak...

Recent Inquisition News :-)

So what have we been up to ?

Well despite everyone playing Bloodbowl, Modern Warfare 2 and Dragon Age Origins, We've still been having fun in WoW. Damn other games for distracting our raiders ;-)

We've been pushing our way into Heroic CC 25. Or "Trial of the Grand Crusader(25)" as some people refer to it. Last night we got his Lordship Jaraxxus over a barrel, pinned a Inquisition medal on him then gave him a right jolly spanking.



The DPS, Healing and Tanking all came together and played fantastically.. was a great run. All that even though Kaini still failed to dodge icehowl *sigh* ;-)

We then spend a couple of hours dancing with the faction champions ... man those guys are annoying ! We were only slightly outclassed by them, it was close enough that we kept coming back for a beating .. Next week we'll be back!

Oh yes last week as also did Sarth 3D 25 man .. without killing any drakes :-) rack up the big guns and shoot until she does down ;-) pew pew

Recent Inquisition Achievement News :-) Yet .. Two more Realm Firsts to report upon .....

First up is Hodir's challenge . (GuildOx)

Getting Cold in Here (25 player)

"Defeat Hodir without any raid member having more than 2 stacks of Biting Cold in 25-player mode".

But wait there's more !

On Wednesday night after many many many disconnects we finally the got ourself:

Many Whelps! Handle It! (25 player)

"Cause 50 Onyxia Whelplings to hatch within 10 seconds of Onyxia's liftoff, and then defeat her in 25-player mode."



By the way i checked the logs, we killed 176 Dragon whelps during the 10 minutes of the fight! Well done thats all the Onyxia achievements done !

Finally !!! Finally !!! Kologarn goes down with no-one in the raid getting zapped by the eye beams !!!

Which meant we got the long sought after achievement .. After many many wipes we perfected the strategy. And with much running dancing and blinking he was down!

Another Inquisition Realm First achievement.. Infact its one that only 0.19% of guilds in the world have done! which is shocking as like everything else get a good team with a simple strategy and its easy. (GuildOx)

"Defeat Kologarn without any raid member being hit by Focused Eyebeams in 25-player mode. "



Screeny from bosskillers, real rarity to find decent eye beam images. I'll try and get one next week ! The other one is annoyed we got the achievement.

So another achievement done ! The number left in Ulduar are dwindling. We are currently ranked the 758th in the world on raiding achievements. We can get that lower :-)

Ulduar was being nasty to us with the Instance servers going down and not letting us back into it :cry: . So we went off to CC to deal those pesky Horde Champions, after killing all the DPS Hordies we felt sorry for the poor healers. So took some raid photo's with them.

The Druids discovered they had a lot in common with the horde cousin. But like all reunions and family photo's there's always some gnome trying to get in on the shot.





After that we travelled down to Onyxia for some action. We figured it was about time someone killed her quickly. So we downed the brewfest leftover pew pew brew and taught her some speed kill manners. :-)

We had fun nuking Onyxia out of the sky. In fact the good lady Prestor spent so little time in the air she didn't even get a chance to catch her breath. Let alone fry us with a deep one.

So despite the Instance server going down and delaying us for an hour. And preventing us from playing with steelbreaker we still had fun in CC and picked up another Two Realm First Achievements for our trophy shelf back at the guild Headquarters.
